The ground floor of Maison Noisette is open plan, with a very comfortable Lounge area around the fireplace and double-glazed French windows leading onto the terrace. The front window overlooks the courtyard, as does the glazed front door, making this a particularly light and sunny room. There is also ample storage room for a baby buggy (or wine & beer!) under the stairs, conveniently out of the way. The Kitchen is equipped to a high standard, allowing you to be creative with the variety of fresh produce available in our local markets and shops, and the Dining area seats 6 adults comfortably. An automatic washing machine is provided in the Kitchen for your convenience and there is also a second WC downstairs.
Upstairs there are three Bedrooms, two with double beds and one with twin beds, and the bathroom. All rooms upstairs are accessed directly from the landing. The master bedroom is a large room with exposed beams, some of which are thought to be the original 400 year old supports for the earlier thatched roof. The master bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, and dressing table but still has plenty of space for a baby cot which we can provide on request. The second double room is of a very good size, with a double bed and a single bed. The third room has twin full size beds, equally suitable for either 2 adults or 2 children. Previous guest's children have enjoyed this room enormously, finding ample space to cover the floor with a variety of toys and board-games, whilst enjoying the comfort of "grown-up" beds and surroundings. All the upstairs rooms have velux-style windows which are low enough to enjoy the views, yet high enough to be safe for young children. The bathroom, conveniently located between the bedrooms, has a tiled shower cubicle with a powerful thermostatic shower, hand basin and WC. There is also an electric razor socket in the bathroom. For your comfort and convenience we have provided modern fittings and appliances throughout our houses, but have furnished our properties in a traditional manner to retain the character style of the old buildings. With double-glazing throughout, good insulation and heating in all rooms (as well as the wood-burning stove in the lounge) this house is ideal for occupation throughout the year, and provides a perfect venue for Christmas or New Year away from (or perhaps with?) the "in-laws"! All our houses are also available for short breaks outside the Peak season dates, providing an excellent base for the pre-Christmas shopping trip!
