Poulancre Holiday Homes is a small family run complex of three Holiday Homes and our own house, located in a quiet hamlet only a few minutes away from the village of St Mayeux, Cotes d'Armor. The nearest market town is Mur de Bretagne, 6 km to the south. The properties all overlook our sunny, south-facing gravelled courtyard, and have their own private garden to the rear.
Beyond the individual gardens is a large communal grassed garden area, a busy "frog" pond with shaded seating and a quiet wooded area. The shared car parking area is also within our grounds and has some shade for most of the day. |

The whole property is bordered by a variety of mature trees, including some very old oak, chestnut, poplar and laurel, providing shelter on even the breeziest of days. Visitors in the late Summer will find an abundance of blackberries in the lanes around Poulancre d'en Bas and for guests visiting in the Autumn there is a usually a good harvest of chestnuts, hazelnuts and walnuts to be found in our gardens, assuming the squirrels can be beaten to the rich pickings! The tranquillity of our hamlet attracts plenty of wildlife, often including rabbits and foxes in the garden early in the morning and a wide variety of birds, butterflies and dragonflies throughout the day.
The hamlet of Poulancre d'en Bas is situated well off the D767, on the south facing slope of a sheltered valley, and comprises only five properties. The location provides a delightfully tranquil setting for a relaxed family holiday, yet is convenient for a broad range of local attractions and places of interest, including the Lac de Guerledan and the Nantes to Brest Canal. The towns of Pontivy and St Brieuc are within a short drive, and the stunning beaches of the North and South coasts are accessible within 40 minutes and an hour respectively.
Poulancre Holiday Homes have all been renovated to a very high standard, transforming an overgrown and sadly neglected property into a small courtyard of comfortable, generously proportioned and select holiday cottages. We have endeavoured to retain the original character of this wonderful 400 year old farm, yet have included modern fittings and conveniences for the comfort of our guests. Our aim is to provide you with the location for an enjoyable and stress-free holiday. The following information is therefore provided to ensure that the planning and packing for your holiday is complete.
